Finder Africa is operated by CoreLabz Technologies Limited, a company registered in Kenya. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Finder Africa platform — including our mobile apps (Finder and Finder Business) and website (finderafric.com). By using Finder Africa, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

• Provide and operate the Finder Africa platform
• Match shoppers with relevant local vendors and products using AI search
• Process image and text searches and deliver accurate results
• Enable vendors to list and manage their products and business profiles
• Show location-relevant results based on your area
• Personalise your experience and improve AI recommendations
• Send platform notifications, updates, and (with consent) marketing communications
• Ensure platform security and prevent fraudulent activity
• Comply with applicable Kenyan laws and regulations
• Analyse usage patterns to improve our services

When you upload images for visual search, those images are processed by our AI systems to identify products and find matches across vendor listings. Uploaded images may be temporarily stored to process your search request. We use Google Vertex AI and Weaviate vector search as part of our AI infrastructure. We do not use your uploaded images to train third-party models without your explicit consent. Search images are not permanently stored beyond what is necessary to fulfil the request.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With vendors — when a shopper initiates contact, limited contact details are shared to facilitate the transaction
• With service providers — trusted third parties who help operate our platform (Clerk for auth, Google Cloud for infrastructure, Cloudinary for image storage)
• For legal compliance — when required by Kenyan law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users
• In a business transfer — if CoreLabz Technologies is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy commitments

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, access controls limiting who can access personal data, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

As a user of Finder Africa, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
• Deletion — request that your account and associated data be deleted
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
• Data portability — request your data in a portable format
• Location — withdraw location permission through your device settings at any time

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Vendor product listings and business information may be retained for a reasonable period after account deletion to maintain platform integrity.

Finder Africa is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us immediately.

Finder Africa uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Cloud Platform — cloud infrastructure and AI services
• Clerk — user authentication and identity management
• Cloudinary — image storage and processing
• Google Play Store — app distribution
• Weaviate — vector search infrastructure

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users via the app or email. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated. Continued use of Finder Africa after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
